What is a Death Doula?
A death doula assists the dying and their families through the dying process. Doulas help bring focus to a person's emotional, social, spiritual, and physical needs.
Planning for Death.
Planning for death can bring comfort and reassurance. Advanced care planning ensures others know what to do when a person is no longer able to speak for themselves.
End of Life
Care.
Dying, like birth, is a process. Death care can help maintain the highest quality of life and dignity before, during, and after death.
Grief and
Bereavement.
Grief and bereavement can affect overall well-being. Doulas provide information, resources, and support throughout the death and dying process.

About Me
In 2017 my mother died after a prolonged struggle with cancer. Eighteen months later, my father died after a surprising and very short illness. Their deaths sent me on a journey to learn about death, to understand the processes of dying and to provide person-centred emotional, social, physical and spiritual support to people and their families facing death and experiencing grief and bereavement.
